Tucson Medical Center Sterile Processing Technician interview questions

One word to describe the interview experience: confusing. I applied to two different jobs overseen by the same manager. I got a call from HR to schedule an interview, and the day before my interview, I got an email saying I was no longer in the running for the job. It looked like a silly form letter, so I showed up anyway. The hiring manager in HR was nice and I actually WAS still in the running for a job, but she didn't even know what the job description was. She introduced me to the department manager. I was open with him, explaining that I would definitely prefer one job over the other. He ignored that request and told me they'd get back to me within the week. I was sent back to HR and offered the job I wanted least on the spot, salary and benefits included.
