      Online English Teacher Interview

      20 Oct 2025

      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at TutorABC in Sept 2025

      Interview

The actual online interview, the live version, was fairly simple. It was too quick for my liking so you have to ensure your answers - comments are short and concise. The interviewer was unable to hear me at first-even though I went into the portal and received a pop up message confirming my video and audio were both confirmed-working. NOTE-you have to access another window once you've already logged into the interview portal.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They'll show you a few slides of paragraphs written in English with certain words highlighted. The question is about how you would plan-teach a lesson using this slide-lesson plan
      Answer question
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TutorABC (Belgrade, Central Serbia) in Oct 2025

      Interview

This was by far the worst interviewer I have ever had in my life. First of all, the person was late. Which in Online teaching world is absolutely forbidden. I was interrupted a lot without any opportunity to add or explain anything. Basically, I was asked a question, started talking and immediately without even catching a breath was talked over multiple times in the course of just few minutes. The person was impolite and unprofessional. Interviewer itself was more interested in what to fill in her form rather than actually conducting the interview itself. I understand they have standards, but whatever certificate you may require is easily obtained and all others have their specific codes which can easily be checked if you request a code from a person you are interviewing :) It is not that complicated. It is just few letters and numbers merged together that you input at the institutions website that issued that certificate. It is called knowing how to do your job that you got paid for. I have made a point long time ago that I will never spend again any additional money on educational or equipment requierements as I have been tricked before by these online companies. The interview finished abruptly. There are other online schools, so just move on.

      Interview

The process begins with a conversation with a representative, during which you discuss your skills, experiences, and overall abilities. This allows them to assess your strengths and understand how you approach different situations. After that, they present you with various scenarios related to real-world challenges, where you are required to analyze the situation and provide well-thought-out solutions. Your responses help demonstrate your problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to apply your knowledge effectively.
