      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at U S Hybrid (Torrance, CA) in Nov 2015

      Interview

Initial phone screening, then I was asked to go on site. Before my flight, suddenly I was given a set of problems to solve within 24 hours. I paid all the expenses for the interview out of my pocket. They reimbursed after 3 months, after repeated emails asking for it. From initial phone call to the response to the on-site interview it took 4 months. The interview was supposed to be about 4 hours. But it went all day as the VP of the company could not make it before 3PM. It was mostly discussion about the projects and experiences. The President was very rude. At one point he started criticizing my previous work and projects. Only a few questions was asked and I was able to answer them all. When the VP came, I asked him whether they looked at my response to the problems given and how was it. They said they have not looked at it yet. While I was there, the president was yelling at some of the employees of the company.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at U S Hybrid (Torrance, CA) in Mar 2017

      Interview

No phone interview. Ask me to be onsite. I live not too far away. Drive to their Torrance facility. No body really talk to me. Throw me into their meeting room, close the door and give me an exam paper, ask me to answer questions. No previous notice said there will be an exam. I feel I went back to my college time. There are so many functions I couldn't remember but simple to google. In the end, I told the Korean CTO I wasn't prepared for the exam. He looked at me and said you should always be prepared for an exam. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS BE PREPARED FOR AN EXAM. I was so shocked by his theory that I don't even remember how I went home.
