      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at U.S. Xpress in Aug 2020

      Interview

Easy and straightforward orientation was a bit long but got you into a truck pretty rapidly. Decent interview took awhile to hear back from any one, but all in all a pretty easy process

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at U.S. Xpress (Springfield, OH) in Nov 2025

      Interview

So, there really wasn't much of an interview before showing up to Orientation, which was fine by me. I had just gotten my CDL A and needed to find a company to work for that would accept a brand spanking new CDL A holder. I applied through DriverPulse (recommend!) and the recruiter called back ASAP. She had two openings to consider and pretty much signed me up for orientation the next week. I showed up Monday and was pleasantly surprised by how much training went into the first day. During the day I was also busy filling in paperwork and filling in gaps that needed more explanation in my job history. Plus drug testing and redoing the DOT physical (which was just done a month ago, but they wanted a fresh physical). Tuesday was also more training and videos and some fun with the simulator and meeting other wonderful people at the terminal. Wednesday was the nerve-racking 'Am I getting hired or what day' and as soon as everything came back satisfactory, I was welcomed and instructed to go back home to wait for a trainer to be assigned. There were 8 drivers that showed up for orientation. 2 left before the 2nd day, 1 was not hired (she forgot to mention she rolled a semi a few years ago!!)..Overall, I was extremely pleased with how thorough the orientation and screening was. I also recommend taking many notes during the whole process, write down questions to ask, and when they ask for questions, that's when you want to flip thru your notepad and ask them. In addition, talk to the other drivers going thru the process. These may be friends of yours for years to come (or not, lol).
