Interview
Discussed my education, work experience and skills. The person interviewing me was disinterested and not knowledgeable about the position we were discussion. I met with the HR representative, department manager and director of the IT Division. The only person that seemed capable of discussing the position was the HR representative.

Question 1
I asked what the advancement opportunities were available and the response I received was..."Advancement is based on the open positions at the time you want to advance." Needless to say, the response to my question was a prediction of the way things are at US Xpress. That was the most difficult question.

Interview
HR requested an initial phone screen. I had to call the HR person and they were not prepared for our meeting. Didn’t ask me very many questions and I asked a lot of questions. I was told I would hear back the following week to schedule an interview with the Hiring Manager and they ghosted me. I followed up several times via email and no reply. When someone is giving you their time, it would be nice to know if you’re no longer considering them for a position.
My first interview with the hiring manager went very well. I was told I was going to get a follow up interview with a senior manager. When I was scheduled for the interview , it was with the hiring manager again so I thought that she had more questions for me. She interviewed me as if she had not spoken to me before. She also could not tell me much about the role because it was new. And it would be a position in charge of a sales team and project manager. Also, during the first interview I was told I would need to spend time in Atlanta as well as Chattanooga but that was not mentioned in the 2nd interview. I think that they are doing some organizational changes and may not be ready to actually hire. I did not hear anything else from the company after my 2nd interview.
