If they like your application you have to send an intro video of yourself and then an in person interview before you get accepted. they offer application workshops you can do when applying. I recommend doing one, it really helped me and I was able to interview the day of the workshop.

Asked to interview after application submission. Flew out to UCI and did a weekend recruitment. They put us up in a hotel and covered costs for the weekend expenses. Met with 4 faculty
