      Endpoint Operations Support Analyst Interview

      19 Feb 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at UCLA Health (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2025

      Interview

I apply for the Endpoint Support Analyst role on the UCLA Health website after I saw the job posting there and the salary range was in what I wanted. It took about 2 weeks until I got a random call from a number I didn't recognize and they left me a voicemail about doing a phone screening. I called back and did the phone screening with one of the manager. The questions were pretty basic on technical questions, some personality question with neither being difficult. He did mention that he felt I was over qualified for the role but I told him I didn't think so. He also mention that he couldn't tell me the pay because for the position, it's a union so they decide how much to pay. I got an invite for another Zoom interview schedule a week later with 3 other people who were managers at different location. This is where more technical questions was asked by each other manager like how do you troubleshoot internet issues, explain VPN, how do you set up a printer in a network and explain a situation where the end user wasn't happy. They all asked if I would be comfortable going on site everyday so that's a requirement. About 2 weeks later, I got an email about listing 5 references and 3 has to be managers. I heard back like 3 days later from another random phone call and it was their Senior Consultant with an offer. The offer was low like in middle of the salary range while I was hoping for the higher range due to what I'm currently making and the current economy. I communicate that to the Senior Consultant and she said she'll look into anything that she can do but it would be jumping 2 levels of pay rate which she said was unlikely. She got back to me within the same day and they only offer a tiny boost in the pay but it was the max so I decline the offer in the email link she sent me. If I was to accept, the location would be in the Wilshire office and my start date would be a month from accepting the offer after doing the medical checks and passing the background check. You also need to have certain vaccination to be working for UCLA Health. I was excited for this new opportunity and looking forward to it but the pay was too low for this economy and I heard from other people that it's usually the case here so you should communicate in the beginning how much you're looking for. The whole process took like almost 3 months
