      Accepted offer

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at US Air Force

      Interview

Interview process involves an educational assessment to gauge how well one will do for the ASVAB. Potential applicant then takes the exam; score determines if applicant can join or will have to retest. Score obtained on test determines which field applicant will enter i.e security forces, medical, administration, etc. Then paperwork must be signed to include a background check and waivers if applicant is less than satisfactory in one area for example, credit. Once all paperwork is finalized, person will get a "ship out" date when they are to report for basic military training. Before arriving for BMT, trainee must process through the military entrance processing station (MEPS). Once all test and assessments are positive (in good standing) member reports to Lackland Air Force Base for BMT.
