      The interview process for the military altogether is non-standard. It's a long process in which you're evaluated to determine your competency as a future leader. It's not a perfect process and incompetent individuals still get through, but the challenges in the process are still present.

      I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at US Army (New York, NY) in Aug 2011

      Interview

      Lots of tests. Recruiters explained various jobs and their requirements. Physical exams. Time was spent explaining the various training available as well as benefits such as the g I bill. Other subjects covered were the ability to take your skill set to civilIan life. You can retire from the army after twenty years.
