Ensure you study 3-4 months in advance for the board. I actually was so caught up in reviewing all the army regs that I forgot to stay up on current affairs ( I was deployed at the time). The best advice is to practice, practice, practice. In front of the mirror or family and friends, it's well worth it.

I walked in and talk to a recruiter. Took a test went to Jackson MEPS office. Swore in and left 2 weeks. later to train in ft Jackson Sc. The easiest interview ever

Interview
Simply had to take the civil servants exam and pass the background, drug and psych test. Overall it was not very complicated or time consuming. There was a physical exam involved as well but if you are physically fit and have no prior criminal or background issues and have a high school diploma, you would be a good candidate.
