      I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at US Army (Phoenix, AZ)

      Interview

      Take the ASVAB, do a medical check, go to basic, AIT is in Fort Lee, VA and isn't that hard. You just have to give it a while to join the military period. They ask about criminal and drug record. You have to take a drug test. The screening process is just very long.

      The Army is currently downsizing, and is making it more and more difficult to join the force. Some of the major requirement, are having a clean record, and no medical problems; if you have neither of them, then you should be good...as long as you have enough brains to pass the asvab.
