Apply via PERS processes. Need recommendations, minimum flight hours and experience. Also good to have technical degree. Any experience with flight clearances in the fleet help as well. I did not do a face to face interview.

Board screening process and selection. A formal report to include and essay and on why you want to become a Test Pilot. With the essay you are required to capture all of your work experience and flight hours to include qualifications. Letters of recommendations are also required by your superiors.
