I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Los Angeles, CA) in Sept 2015
Interview
Applied on 8-6-15 and right away after submitting application I received an email to complete the online assessment invitation. Once I completed the assessment invitation, I was prompted to create an account. After account was created, I received an invite to schedule an appointment to take exam 473. I scheduled exam date for 8-11-15.
After exam was completed on 8-11-15, I received results right away. I passed with a score of 83.6. On 8-17-15 I received an email asking me to answer a few questions and to sign a consent form for a criminal background check. On 8-20-15 I received another email to choose a clinic in my area to complete a drug test. That I completed the following day on 8-21-15. On 8-21-15 I received email with information on interview date which was dated for 9-1-15.
Date of interview: Many people showed up-very large group of at least 150 people. First two hours consisted of information related to job and what's expected of new hires. They were very direct and to the point. Then I had to wait for my name to be called (they go by order of score-highest to lowest) to review my application information and make sure everything was filled out correctly. A couple hours later my name called again for a group interview of four people. They had so many there that they decided on conducting group interviews rather than individual interviews.
Interview went well. The person conducting the interview was very nice and helpful.
On 9-12-15 I received a conditional job offer via email. I was asked to accept or decline. I accepted and so I was prompted to answer a few more questions. After completion of these questions, I was notified that I would received another email with information on start date.
Straight forward explanation of the role requirements and question as to whether the role interests you. You’re given a chance to ask any questions you have about the role and compensation.

No inter view all online. The application very easy to complete and instant job offer. Easiest job I have ever applied to. Going through the background check process currently now
Easy I just sat down with the post master and we talked for 20 minutes. Not many questions where asked besides why I wanted to work for the post office.
