I recently applied for the Senior Real Estate role at Ulta Beauty and I must say, my experience left me quite disappointed. As someone who has always been a loyal Ulta customer and had an internal referral for the position, I had high hopes for the application process. I was excited about the prospect of working for a company that I not only admired but also enjoyed shopping at. The Senior Real Estate role perfectly matched my qualifications and experience, and with an internal referral, I felt confident about my chances. However, my optimism was quickly dashed when I received an automated rejection email. What disappointed me the most was not just the rejection itself, but the complete lack of communication. Given that I was referred by an internal employee, I had expected at least a courtesy call or an email to discuss my application or provide some feedback. Unfortunately, there was no effort made to engage with me on a personal level, and this speaks volumes about Ulta's company culture. If this is how Ulta treats external candidates who are referred by their own employees, it raises questions about how they treat their own team members. It's disheartening to think that a company known for its customer-centric approach would neglect the candidate experience to this extent. This not only alienates qualified candidates like myself but also sends a discouraging message to customers who may also be interested in employment opportunities. I strongly urge Ulta to consider fine-tuning their recruiting and talent acquisition efforts. The way candidates are treated during the application process reflects directly on the company's culture and its ability to retain top talent. In this case, my experience leaves much to be desired, and I can't help but question the overall integrity of Ulta's hiring process. Regrettably, I have decided not to patronize Ulta Beauty any longer. As a customer and a potential employee, this experience has left me disheartened and disillusioned. I hope Ulta takes this feedback seriously and reevaluates its approach to recruitment and candidate engagement.
