Unboxed Technology Content Strategy Manager interview questions

The initial email exchange was very pleasant as was the 30 minute phone conversation with one of their Talent Acquisition Specialists. Next, I was asked to complete a two page writing assignment within 24 hours. The assignment was ambiguous and there wasn't a lot of guidance for what they were hoping to see. This was understandable because I imagine they want someone who can navigate grey areas, but I found the time constraints a little unreasonable for anyone who has a full-time job and family at home to take care of. After I submitted the project, I waited weeks with no response which I found extremely unprofessional - especially given the fact that they said it would take about a week. I had to reach back out to the talent acquisition specialist for an update and then very quickly received a response letting me know I had been turned down for the job. They clearly knew they were not offering me the next steps in the interview process, but did not think my investment of time mattered enough for them to let me know without being promoted first. Given the nature of the commitment they require from applicants with the timed project, the very LEAST the company can do is to respond in a timely manner.
