The interview process at Unirac involved an initial conversation with the hiring manager, where we discussed key aspects of the role and my experience. Following this, they arranged to fly me in for an in-person interview, which gave me an opportunity to meet the team and further discuss the position in depth.

On Tuesday afternoon at 12pm, I received a call from HR that Unirac wants to schedule a technical interview ASAP. I asked if the interview could happen the next day, but the HR insisted the interview need to happen on Tuesday itself. I didn't understand the reason for the hurry, but I accepted to do the interview at 4:30pm. The interview started well with the standard set of questions and it was going perfectly fine, until the interviewer started questioning about my projects I did in my university and my work experience. Then at one point he started saying that he could have completed my Master's thesis project within a day. I agree that I didn't provide him all the details, because I was not prepared for the interview and it has been a while since I revisited the project. The mistake on my part was I accepted the same day interview without any preparation, but that doesn't mean that the interviewer can say that he could have done it better than I. That was hurtful. There is no need to degrade a work done by others for any reason and when you are in a position where you can question people, the person should show empathy.
