I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Unisun Solar in Nov 2015
Interview
Applied via ZipRecruiter, was contacted the very next day for a phone interview.
I was well-qualified for the position, so the interviewer spent the majority of the time talking about the company and their business model, than asking about my own experiences.
The compensation was advertised on ZipRecruiter as:
Compensation: $65,000 to 75,000 USD Annually (plus commission)
However, the interviewer revealed that the base salary was actually $250 / week with commissions based on panels sold. He then went on to explain that, while the direct sales weren't particularly lucrative, the point of the company would be for me to recruit my own teams and enjoy kickbacks from panels sold by the people working under me, and that they would themselves eventually recruit, placing me higher on a pay pyramid.
Supplies for door-to-door advertising (flyers, business cards, door hangers, etc.) are sold via their website, and the prices are quite high.
