Applied for a role after having a good experience in a previous application process over a year ago — everyone was professional and friendly back then.
This time, I was invited via automated tool to book an early Monday morning screening with a, possibly outsourced (given the timing), recruiter. I prepared, woke up at dawn, shuffled my family schedule… only to find they had cancelled the interview just a few hours before — overnight.
No explanation beyond “the role has already been filled.” I guess they reviewed applications in their sleep.
No hard feelings — does not show great professionalism unfortunately.
