      Interview

Interview consisted of a panel of three people- 2 female and 1 male. male interviewer was slightly odd and I got a weird vibe from him as he kept telling me to relax this is a very easy interview. I suspect the interview was nothing but a charade as two days after the interview they advertised for a similar role within the department but a more senior level. what is peculiar about this is that the new position is for a duration of two months yet they want someone with seven years experience. seems very fishy

      Interview

very uncourteous... I arrived 20 minutes before time and no one bothered to welcome me into the office. I was just standing outside the glass office door for five minutes till I got tired of standing there so I decided to go round the other side of the building just in case there was another entrance but there was none so I dilly dallied a bit then came back to the same entrance I was at before only to bump into a lady who unbeknownst to me at the time would be my interviewer. I said hello and was met with a stone cold silence, so i just smiled in a docile way and asked her to see the HR representative who had sent me the interview invite and she told me to go upstairs which i did but the hr representative wasn't here so I came down again and politely informed her that she was not up there and she insisted that she is upstairs, i was slightly puzzled by her response but then she came up the stairs with a gentleman and told me to go up another floor this is when it became apparent that she was going to interview me. I thought to myself she could have just informed me that the interview was two floors up and that she would be my interviewer. (geez some people are just an enigma). After getting to the second floor I was directed to a visitor's area where I was told to seat and wait to be called in. I complied and waited for 10 minutes then was called in for the interview. interview consisted of three individuals - 2 female and 1 male. Was told to just relax and that the entire interview will not take more than 20 minutes. they just wanted to get to know me well and see if I would be a good fit for the organisation.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

First thing I was asked was: "have you got any questions for us?" then they proceeded to ask the following competency based questions: "describe a time when you had to work hard in your current role?" "During this time what demotivated you?" "What is your opinion of gender in the work place?" "Describe to me a time when you had to set a clearly defined goal?" "Describe a time when you had to work alongside a difficult work colleague?" After the questions: I asked when they would get in touch with the successful candidate. I was told if you haven't heard from us by end of next week consider yourself unsuccessful (i sensed that they were indirectly letting me know that i was unsuccessful). I gave my best shot at answering this questions, so very disappointed with that response
