Two rounds of interview. One with lab PI and other with the manager. Followed by conversation about salary with the PI and then joining formality with HR. The process took about 3 months. Once the offer was received paper work went smooth.
The interview process at the University of Washington was thorough and positive: Initial phone interview with Dr. Smith, discussing my research interests and alignment with the lab's projects. In-person interview in Seattle, including discussions about my role, a research presentation, and a practical lab assessment. Dr. Smith contacted my references for insights into my work. Final interview with senior faculty to discuss broader research initiatives and potential collaborations.
