Question 1
Pouvez-vous partager une expérience pédagogique spécifique qui illustre votre approche à l'enseignement, mettant en lumière comment vous engagez les étudiants et favorisez leur compréhension de contenus avancés?
For positions in the humanities, after submitting the dossier required through the centralized national system to the universities where you wish to apply, if your CV stands out and matches the job requirements, you will be asked to interview on campus. The interview is conducted by a group of 8-16 maitre de conférences and professors, and generally takes about 20 minutes. Usually, all of the candidates are interviewed on the same day. The candidate presents herself in about 5 minutes (highlighting why you are right for the job), and the the selection committee will ask a few questions. They may ask whether you would able to teach certain kinds of courses, what you would contribute to the research group, etc. It can be a bit intimidating, being interviewed by a group of people all at once, but they generally try to be pleasant (after all, you're a potential future colleague!).
