Interview
Got an email inviting me to an interview. They got my name wrong, and after I corrected them asked if I would be open to moving since you have to live in Utah to get the job. Got bad vibes right from the get go, but went ahead anyway and accepted the interview. 20 day later when the time comes nobody showed up. Should have gone with the gut feeling.
Short and easy questions . The interviewer was friendly. He spent most of the time explaining what the position was about and what is expected. He explained that it would be a good position to learn.

Interview
I applied online through their government job board website. I got a call to schedule an interview with them about a week after the job posting closed. The interview was a panel interview with the director and his two managers. They first explained what the job would entail, then proceeded to ask me several questions, some behavioral, some technical and some job requirement question, such as if I was willing to travel up to one week at a time.
The first interview was a good experience for me, they were friendly and courteous. They answered my questions thoroughly. As I did with the questions that they asked me. The interview lasted about an hour.
Immediately after the interview was done, they had you take a skills test. The skills test is done to check whether you are able to use basic excel skills to perform calculations and to see whether you can read, interpret and use information to answer questions. The first interview and skills test took about two hours of my time.
I was deemed good enough and was invited to a second interview. I was very accommodating to their schedule. I was called by one of the managers to come in for a second interview, the interview took place at a very early morning time. Like around sun up time. There was a winter storm at that time, yet I was dedicated and wanted this job so I came anyways.
The second interview questions consisted mostly of behavioral questions and a few technical questions. I thought I did pretty well but I could tell that I didn't get the job from the way they greeted me out. The second interview lasted about an hour.
I sent my email follow ups to both interviews thanking them for their time and reiterated my skills and background would be a good fit for the job. The thing that annoys me about employers is the way they treat candidates that aren't hired. When you send them an email for a status update, they give you the silent treatment. Kinda rude, especially if you're a finalist candidate.
