I applied online. I interviewed at VIPKid (Beijing, Beijing) in Jul 2017
Interview
I have heard about the negative reviews about this company but I still choose to go through the application process and viola just like most people had experience it happened exactly thesame with me. They let you go through several demos and encourage you to wear orange and spend time on props which most people end up buying of course. Then one evaluator will like what you did but the next evaluator will not like it. Then finally they will send you an email that your mock is not succesful with zero reason which part you failed! They need training as to what professionalism really is!
We’re sorry to hear that your recruitment experience with VIPKID was not satisfactory. We are always striving to improve our procedures and have recently undergone some key changes. Should you feel like reapplying, we’ll be happy to have you in the process again!

I applied online. I interviewed at VIPKid (Remote, OR) in Nov 2017
Interview
VIPKids provides you with a powerpoint and many videos to prepare for interview. The interviewer tends to add expectations during the interview. If interview is passed, then another interview called the Mock Class is scheduled. The interviewer stops the demo lesson often and there are, at times, technical issues due to internet difference in China where interviewer is.
