I applied online. I interviewed at VIPKid in Aug 2017
Interview
My interview was basically a recorded demo of myself teaching a predetermined slide show. I had 1 hour to record a 10 minute demo lesson. You can record and restart as many times as needed during the hour. I ended up getting my demo the way I wanted to after the first ten minute try so I left it alone. I heard back from them in about 30 minutes to move to the next step.
Currently we are working to improve our recruitment procedures, and apologize for any miscommunication that occurred during your interview. We have already implemented several new guidelines for our recruiters to help minimize this, and we would love to hear back from you in the future.

I interviewed at VIPKid (London, England)
Interview
Got hired as a British speaking then cancelled as not from America which I disclosed at the first interview which I think was silly and unprofessional at the time it was during covid when this happpened.
Very lenghthy interview process, but the interviewers were nice and helpful. There were several steps to the process and it was pretty involved. I had to prepare a lesson beforehand
It was easy an straightforward. 1 interview and 2 mock classes to pass. They offer a contract for a year with option to renew after 1st contract is over. Overall the process last for about 2 weeks from the time you apply unless you are waitlisted.
