Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you see yourself progressing into other roles of your interest?
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at VMware in Feb 2012
Interview
The position was through a third-party employer with VMware as the client. The interview with the third-party employer went well and I was told the next step would be a telephone interview with someone from VMware. I get that people are busy, but when the person interviewing me called on a speakerphone and repeatedly moved papers around, it was hard to hear what they were asking/saying and I thought I didn't want to work for someone that couldn't focus on a potential employee for a ten minute call.

Question 1
Standard interview questions, weren't difficult: related to job experience, why I left positions, and the standard "where do you see yourself in 5 years?"
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at VMware (Austin, TX) in Jan 2010
Interview
Was very unorganized. I interviewed for two different positions. One being the support sales position which took approximately 5 weeks, 2 phone interviews, and two 1:1 interviews. It came between me and another person however the position was closed out and they sent support sales to a 3rd party company. The 2nd position was the inside sales position. This was one panel interview and with the layoffs of the support sales team they ended up taking most of that team to fill their open spots so I didn't receive an offer.
