I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at VOI Technology
Interview
1. Call with recruiter
2. Call with the team and team lead
3. Take home assignment
4. Final interview
The first call went well, we had a nice talk about past experiences, current project, and some basic HR questions.
The second call was a bit ‘unexpected’. So they said that they were looking for QA with mobile automation experience, and I have been prepared to get asked about Appium etc. But when I explained about Appium, they didn’t seem to understand what I’m talking about. By the end of the call, I came to conclusion that they actually didn’t know a thing about mobile automation and I knew that it’s not the company/team that I want to work with. It’s like we’re on really different level, so whatever you trying to explain, they won’t get it because they don’t understand. This is the part that I find a little bit ‘unsettling’. I expect to have a good discussion on the same level during the interview but I guess I hope too much. A week later, they decided not to continue the process.
