The process was largely summarized by previous posters: 1) you have a hiring manager round (which includes a technical portion), 2) a take-home assignment (which they note should take 2-4 hours though it takes longer) + interview to walk through the assignment, and 3) a panel interview with 4 different interviewers. The people I spoke with seemed intelligent were overall pleasant to speak with. After completing the entire interview loop, I was ghosted by the company.
It started with a phone screen, then a case study, and lastly a take home assignment and 2.5 block of back-to-back interviews. The expectation to complete a lengthy take home assignment made it feel like they were not considerate of the applicants time. Interviewers seemed highly disinterested during interviews. I definitely left the process with a negative view of the company and would not apply for another opening in the future.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me to walk through SQL code during the work flow review.
The first round is a recruiter screen, followed by a coding problem. My interviewer for the second round was late for 5 minutes. There was no apologies, and did not make up for it. She abruptly ended the interview, saying "times up". She did not even give me the chance to ask questions.
The question was fairly straight forward on the surface, but it's easy to overthink and attempt all sorts of optimization. All along, I pointed out all these issues/questions but I get no help from the interviewer at all. I was told to do whatever I want and make whatever assumptions. Overall, not a great experience as the interviewer was disengaged. I did not get to move beyond this round.
