I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vantaca in Aug 2025
Interview
5 interviews over the course of 6 days. Each interview only 30 mins. All virtual. Super pleasant experience overall. The recruiter is the nicest guy. Took a little while to hear back with an offer, but patience and persistence paid off. :)

Question 1
Describe a time you went above and beyond for a customer
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Vantaca (Wilmington, NC) in Apr 2025
Interview
I was directly contacted by a recruiter from Vantaca as someone else recommended me for the Forward Deployed Engineer position. The recruiter really talked me up and thought that I would be a perfect fit for the Implementation Consultant role. This person made it seem like I was such a good fit for the position that an interview would be a formality. I interviewed for the Implementation Consultant role, and I felt the interview went well. I was being told that I "hit the nail on the head" several times and the conversation with the interviewer felt natural. I was told I would hear from them soon. Several days go by and I don't hear anything. After emailing to see if there was any updates, I was told by the recruiter that I was going to interview for the Forward Deployed Engineer position. The interviewer for this position showed up late, seemed disinterested, and immediately cutoff the interview when we hit the time, even though they showed up late. To me, the interview process felt patchy with no internal alignment on expectations.
The interview questions felt fairly standard. All the questions that were asked were typical, nothing to really get to know the candidate.
I believe the company was looking for external candidates for one of two reasons. Either they wanted hiring managers to get experience interviewing or they've already selected an internal candidate for the position and want the candidate to "earn it" by being selected after other external candidates have been interviewed.
Either way, overall experience was disjointed and not great.
