I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors in Dec 2014
Interview
I applied online in December and got a phone interview the next business day, just basically asking what materials do I feel comfortable with and what age group of students I would like to have, and the salary, and how far I can teach.....some very basic thing like those.
Then i did a video interview ( since I had some personal issues, I called them to delay my video interview to March). During the video interview, then repeat the questions asked during my phone interview, and provided me two problems to do (one geometry and one differential equation) , and then asked me to explain one of them.
Then they ask me to wait for an email sending from the director from my living area.

Intense considering how they do a DBS check quite thoroughly and do not communicate to you much before hand, I expected far better communication as a potential tutor. If you apply here make sure you get your wage's worth

Question 1
Many things but mostly about experience, grades and DBS clearance

Interview
“The interview process with Varsity Tutors was clear and efficient. After submitting my application, I was asked to complete a brief subject assessment and record a short teaching demo. The instructions were straightforward, and the platform was user-friendly. I appreciated that the process allowed me to showcase my teaching style and subject knowledge without being overly time-consuming. Communication was timely, and I received feedback and next steps fairly quickly. Overall, it was a professional and well-organized experience.”
Online, one-way interview over video. No contact with Varsity Tutor personnel, and took about 25 minutes to complete. Very simple and straightforward process, and they give you time to practice each question.
