I applied online. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors in Mar 2022
Interview
The interview process was simple. I was asked 4 questions and was given 2 practice opportunities for each question. Then, was given unlimited time before answering the actual question. One of the questions asks you to teach a sample lesson in 10 minutes and they give you 10 minutes to plan it. Be prepared for that. Overall, I think the interview process is straightforward and the questions asked are reasonably fair.

Question 1
In addition to having to teach a mini lesson, one question they asked was to explain why you are qualified to teach the subject area you are applying for.
I answered questions about how I would respond to various teaching scenarios in real time. The interviewer was a Bot, which surprised me. The Bot gave validating feedback throughout the interview. I wasn't sure if that was a good sign or not, thinking the platform might do that in any case. But I got hired.

Interview
Didn't even complete the interview. I expected it to be a normal one-way interview, but it was a conversation with a talking AI bot. I closed out of it immediately.
Makes me wonder what else they are using AI for in replace of actual employees.
