I was thrilled about the position that was posted on their website and interviewed with the hiring manager twice. I really enjoy speaking with the hiring manager as she was a straight shooter and was very transparent about the position, which I appreciate.
I thought everything was progressing really well because I had invested couple of days of my time for the interviews and doing a homework presentation project, which the hiring manager told me that was exactly what she was looking for.
However things got weird when I was getting ready to meet with the CMO. It was rescheduled twice, and the day before I was to meet with the CMO I got a call from the hiring manager telling me that things were changing and that they were going in a different direction... It was just an odd and somewhat of an unprofessional experience. BTW, they're still looking to fill the position after almost an year. It's too bad, they could have gotten a great asset.
