Either Veeva is really bad at hiring or they are posting ghost positions. The same role has been listed and relisted in my area for nearly 10 months. I originally tried applying months ago because my resume is a great match. Within less than 48 hours my application was rejected. The market is tough so I didn't think much of it. When I saw the position still being listed some time later I became suspicious. I used AI to generate a fake resume that would have been a word for word perfect fit and submitted it. Same exact outcome. Within 48 hours it was auto-rejected.

Interview
Long story short, The majority of the QA team in this company came from India, and I'm 90% sure that they are pretending that they are making interviews with different candidates but they will pick the ones that will help to keep the power in their hands, I don't know how the higher management can't see this. Anyway, good luck for them and hope they know that people outside are not stupid and can see that :)

Question 1
Personal questions and I'm pretty sure they are even illegal to be asked. especially that they are coming from the QA manager there
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Veeva Systems (Boston, MA) in Aug 2024
Interview
I am an experienced Engineering manager, primarily in QA/QE. I have been in management for the past ~10 years. I was recently laid off from the position of Sr.QA Manager and explored the role of QA manager (step down) at Veeva Systems.
After 7 rounds of interview, I was declined an offer with the reason of "Culturally unfit".
This was an extremely ridiculous reason/excuse.
The company kept indirectly emphasizing on rapid firing of non-performant candidates without giving them an opportunity to improve.
This highly speaks of the ruthless culture of the organization without consideration of the situation of the employee. I would "never" like to work for the company like this which encourages this working culture.
