      I interviewed at Vehere

      Interview

Gave me a question paper. Asked me to solve those on a paper. Questions are very lengthy and very basic questions on c/c++. I asked for a computer which have GCC or online compiler to solve those basic questions. But surprisingly they are unable to provide. I am really surprised how they will judge a 14+ years guy with basic questions. I told them that I can't write such lengthy questions with only pen and paper and then waned to leave as they are unable to provide me a computer to write program. Then suddenly they decided to take an verbal interview. I'm quite ok with that and I was able to answer almost everything correctly except a strange question, it was like below. "What special thing I know." I requested him to explain what he actually want to know. But he can't explain what does it mean by special thing. After some time I realized that the guy who is taking the interview is not at all a c/c++ guy , he is probably a java guy. This also really surprised me. Then another part of the drama. Another technical person interviewed me over phone. He only asked two technical questions. One is on basic c which everybody can answer another is to explain a term on security domain which I was unable to reply because I am not at all a person of security domain which I communicated with them from the very 1st day. Rest of the discussion is on why I want to leave my current company. This also very strange because I clearly communicated with them from very 1st day that I will leave my current company if and only if I get at least 40% hike on fixed salary. And this I had communicated multiple times with them and they told me salary was not a constraint for right candidate. Then last part of the drama. After almost 1 week I was asked for another strange discussion. Discussion was mainly to point out how mush trouble I will face if I stay in my current company. Then I clearly told them I am not in trouble at all. My position in my current company is quite secure and my current company have great future. In short it seems to me Vhere just want to panic me and want to join with them in much less salary what I am currently getting. This is also ridiculous as you they are trying to panic a very experienced person. Somebody may think I am not the right person for that position. But here ia my argument. 1. If I am not right person then why Vhere took 3 rounds of interview?? 2. How can you judge the technical capability of a person with very few basic questions? 3. How a person of altogether different technology can judge somebody?? 4. Why can't you provide a laptop with GCC??? It's now a standard practice if you want to test programming skills.
