The initial screening with the recruiter went very smoothly.
The second-round interview with the TPO lead was an engaging and positive conversation - she took time to understand my background, walked me through the role's requirements, and discussed how well I aligned with both the position and the company culture. At the end of the interview, she shared that she would be recommending me for the next round.
Afterward, the recruiter asked if I was available for a panel interview on Monday, right after the long holiday weekend. I let them know I was available any day after Tuesday, and we scheduled the panel interview for Friday morning. I confirmed and accepted.
However, on Wednesday, I received an unexpected email saying the team had decided to go in a different direction. No explanation was provided. I was surprised and disappointed, especially since I was never given the opportunity to complete the panel round.
It left me wondering—was the decision influenced by my unavailability on Monday? Being rejected before the final round, without feedback, made the experience feel abrupt and unclear.
