      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Verizon (Greeley, CO) in Aug 2011

      Interview

Applied online and got an email from an HR rep saying they were interested in my application and wanted more info. I filled out the forms and sent them back. A separate rep contacted me as if I hadn't been contacted before and asked me to fill out the same forms. A week or two later I had my phone interview with HR. The hardest part was when she basically asked me a question in Spanish to assess my language abilities. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding so it appeared as if I hadn't understood the question and was not bilingual. She liked me though and she (unexpectedly) offered a second interview at the corporate office in Ft. Collins. Maybe a week later, I showed up and was interviewed by two staff members and was asked all about my views of customer service from a corporate question sheet. This interview felt a lot more relaxed than the one with HR on the phone. They said they would contact me in 48 hours. I didn't hear anything for maybe two months and then got an email recently from HR saying I was not offered a position. Lots of waiting for me on this one, but it wasn't a bad experience.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Verizon (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2017

      Interview

Interviewing process is loooooong. Expect for it to take anything from 3-5 weeks. In my experience, I had a phone interview in which we addresses a few cliche points like, Why Verizon? What can I contribute to the company? etc. Towards the end on the interview he told me that I was a suitable candidate and scheduled me for a second Interview (f2f) The second Interview consisted of two parts. The first part was very much alike to the phone interview(make sure you memorize the CREDO) here is where he told me that he would like to move forward to the second part of the interview (he noted that if I wasn't a good candidate he would've ended the interview after the first half) The second half consisted of a bit of role play, so make sure to practice a little before hand. Finally, a few weeks went by and suddenly I got a call with a job offer and the background check started.
