I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Ithaca, NY) in May 2013
Interview
I got an interview after handing in my application to the hiring manager. It was a group interview with 2 other girls where we each took turns in answering the questions. There was the typical question "why Victoria Secrets?" and there were some scenario questions like "How would you deal with a high pressured situation where there's a lot of customers" and "Were you ever in a situation where someone you know was committing a felony, and how would you react" and so on.
The atmosphere in which it was conducted was rather relaxed. The interviewer was nice and friendly and actually showed interest as she noted down what you were saying.

Question 1
I don't remember this word by word but it went something like " What is your first impression as a customer coming into the store"
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
