I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret in Jan 2010
Interview
You should come dressed as if you're going to a funeral, all black if you don't know the dress code for Victoria's Secret. They usually interview you in person if they think you look right for the job, then they schedule you for an interview (1:1). During that interview they just tell you the basics of Victoria's Secret, and ask you questions about retail, customer, and situational experiences. They also ask you if why do you want to work for them.
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
