The fact that they have you do a 45-minute assessment and gather your personal information, such as your driver's license, a selfie, screen recording, and require you to be on video, before I even speak to anyone at the company is absurd.
There was no guidance on what to expect for the assessment. I'm not willing to spend 45 minutes on an assessment prior to speaking with someone at the company. If they want to have a first-round interview and then have the candidate complete the assessment, fine. But the imbalance of expecting a candidate to spend that much time on an assessment while the company "can't risk" spending 30 minutes on an interview shows how they view candidates as being beneath them.
