I had an interview with this company in the beginning of August this year, I heard back within two days of applying online and had an interview three days from speaking to the manager over the phone.
When I went to the interview it was a one to one with the acting manager at the time, I was asked about my current optical role and my experience. Once the interview was over I was told I would hear back from them within a week.
Seven days passed and I decided to call the store to see if I was still being considered for the role, I was told that the manager was off sick and that she hadn't had chance to ring anyone. They assured me that once she was back in store she would ring me straight away.
Two weeks later I called again and was told that they're still doing interviews for the position and that I would be called in a week, even though the manager told me originally that they would only be interviewing until the end of the first week. Another week goes by and I heard nothing, so called one more time and an assistant manager told me that she would ring me by the end of the day. She never called.
This experience has been so unprofessional that it has actually put me off ever working for their company. All I wanted to know was if I was still being considered for the role and the assistant manager and supervisor couldn't tell me that. I've been messed around for the last six weeks, even though they knew I was prepared to relocate to the city to be closer to the job. It's absolutely unreal how I've been treated here.
