Company recruiter said that the hiring manager hand-picked my resume, yet the recruiter had no personality and challenged my responses in a combative way as if not to believe me.

There was a phone screen first with the HR in order to make sure the profile was a good fit. Was called onsite for 2-3 rounds. First was a general round based on past experiences. The second was a marketing know how round and finally third was an HR round.
