I applied online. I interviewed at Vivid Ink Graphics (Baton Rouge, LA) in Oct 2023
Interview
Had one interview and met with the owner, sales manager, and CFO. I was required to take a 5 minute logic test, two personality test, spelling test, and math test.
I applied online. I interviewed at Vivid Ink Graphics (New Orleans, LA) in Jun 2020
Interview
Prepare yourself for a college entrance exam which has nothing to do with Graphic Art or Prepress. I’ve been in this business over 25 years and I’ve never seen or had to deal with the math that was on the pre-employment test. It’s usually fractions and decimal conversions, and how well you can measure accurately, not pre calculus and Algebra. Goodness! Then you meet the pretentious owner and you realize the test is a form of control that he can say how poor your math skills are even though it has nothing to do with the job. I noticed after the interview how many times this place is hiring for the same or multiple positions in the company which means a high turnover. Run, don’t walk, away from this company, you can do so much better if you keep looking. Sorry St Cyr, you’re a poor example of management and your Spanish isn’t that great either, Adios!
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vivid Ink Graphics (Baton Rouge, LA) in Mar 2018
Interview
met for lunch first to get a description of what they wanted. Then, at an offsite facility, took a test that involved general problem solving, some math and other questions around attitude etc.
