I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vodafone (Hammersmith, England) in Jan 2017
Interview
The assessment day was divided up between three assessments:
1) A group discussion/mock meeting followed by a very brief presentation. They gave us a telecommunications related topic which we basically just had to talk about and consider what effect its implementation would have on the company. Just try to relax for this one, you have time to think as other people are talking so have plenty of time to come up with relevant points.
2) A 1 on 1 presentation on a telecommunications related topic, similar to stage 1. However, since it was all focused on us, I did struggle a bit with it. Its very hard to talk about something for 10 minutes that you know nothing about! But the assessor was very patient.
3) A standard competency based interview. You can essentially have your answers prepared in advance for this one.
HR were really nice and we spent ages talking about life at Vodafone. The day also ran very smoothly. Biscuits and Coffee were provided en-masse.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Describe a time you've used innovation to solve a problem
A 6 question interview followed by a problem solving test. The interview was based around gaining an understanding of your personality, rather than your numerical ability. The whole test took around 30-45 minutes to complete.
