I was contacted through a third part for a first round technical interview with the CTO. I was told it was technical, so I was prepared for a technical portion and a behavioral portion. I made it about 15 minutes in and the interviewer asked me "How do you improve every day?". He repeated this three times after my answers didn't seem to land with him. All my answers were code related because the job is about being a software engineer. He immediately said he was just being transparent and that they would not be moving forward with me as a candidate. So if you're looking for a job, be sure to be big on collaboration and paired programming. And make sure this is the environment you want to be in. I'm glad looking back because he seemed like an awful boss.
