Virtual interviews on Google meet. Prior to the interview, they have you sign an NDA but the link they send you is broken and you don’t really end up signing an NDA.
Interview 1: with co founder Jonathan Thierer, 30 mins. He asks questions to get to know your background.
Interview 2: Alex Molkin, director of data analytics. This interview is 50 mins and he asks questions regarding your background.
Interview 3: Blake Slansky, CFO. 50 minutes. He uses the top down interview technique where he asks you 5 questions about your last jobs. It is a good method but honestly, a more formal method than what the other interviewers in other companies do. He was very nice. The only weird thing about this interview is that one of his questions he asked about your former bosses and as you tell him, he LinkdIn searches them while you’re answering his question. He will even stop you for spelling.
Interview 4: Joel Saban, chief of supply chain. 50 minutes. This was a rough interview. Not because the questions were hard, but because this gentleman is a terrible speaker. He uses “ummm” and “errr” a lot. The interview was all filler words. He’s obviously knowledgeable, but, has a major case of scatter brain.
Interview 5: Beining Niu, Meghan Barry, marketing team. 50 minites. This was a relaxed interview. Typical questions were asked.
This company will put you through 4+ hours of interviews and next get back to you…AT ALL. It’s a little disrespectful to the time that you give this company. But hey, they are a startup and I guess don’t know any better.
