Without a doubt the most bizarre and unprofessional interview process. I had two rounds - one with the hiring manager, one with that persons boss. Both expressed frustration that I had not met with HR yet and apologized. Within 24 hours of second interview, I receive a call from HR congratulating me and verbally offering me the role. She sent me all the benefits info and indicated I’d have a written offer the next day because they needed someone to start within 3 weeks. Four days later I heard nothing (despite 2 follow-ups) - I finally get an email Friday evening at 8pm stating that the HR person will be out for 3 weeks and copying another person who will back her up. I ask to speak to that person asap and get a call 3 days later from her asking “what I needed” - she clearly hadn’t been brought up to speed. I explain that I was verbally offered the role 10 days ago but have not yet received the written offer. She apologized and said she would have it to me in 24 hours. 4 days later she calls me and said they’ve decided to “move in a different direction”
