I had a disappointing experience with WebCastle Media’s interview process.
Right from the first round, I was transparent about my current salary and expectations. I went through all the interview rounds without any issue, but after that — silence. I didn’t hear back for weeks. When I finally followed up, they quickly replied with a rejection email saying I wasn’t the right fit.
What bothered me most is that they only revealed their actual budget in the final round — which was lower than my current CTC. If they had shared that earlier, this entire process could’ve been avoided. It felt like the decision was based on budget, but that wasn’t clearly communicated.
To the team:
This kind of approach feels unprofessional. Candidates invest their time, energy, and hope into interviews — the least that can be expected is transparency and timely communication.
To other candidates:
Please be cautious and make sure the budget is discussed clearly upfront. Otherwise, you might end up wasting your time like I did.
