      Front End Developer Interview

      4 May 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at WebMD Health

      Interview

I interviewed as a front-end developer back in 2021. The interview process was pretty normal. I did have 3 rounds of interviews along with a test to take home and I was timed. I was also asked JS questions. Pretty straightforward, very nice people, and if you know your stuff you'll be fine. My only advice is to just be yourself.

      Front End Developer Interview

      27 Jul 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at WebMD Health (New York, NY) in Jul 2017

      Interview

I was scheduled a 30 min phone interview where the person asked me about myself and my experience then told me more about the company and position. He said that they are looking to move from reflux to redux, and that down the line they want their frontend developers to do some backend as well, which I said I was fine with. They then had me come in for a two hour interview which was suppose to be 2 hour long interviews with a dev and the person I talked to over the phone. During the first interview, I was asked about myself then asked to explain redux to a person that doesn't know redux which I did, and he spoke about his own experience learning redux(He was clearly not picking it up well, so good luck with the migration). He then asked me a bunch of javascript questions. Some trick questions which I admittedly overthought and got wrong, some basic javascript questions, and then he took out a sheet of algorithm problems and said I had a choice between writing the algorithm for telling if an input is a prime number, or removing duplicates from an array. He then tells me he would like to see me do the isPrime one, then tells me to do it. I think about it for a little bit then ask him if I can just do the remove duplicate one since I know exactly what to do. The next interview I spoke with the person I spoke to over the phone. We both had nothing new to say and he asked me about my Java experience. I told him I really haven't done Java in 5 years, but still have basic knowledge in it. The next 30 mins the manager came in and asked me purely backend questions about advanced java and J2EE. Which I wasn't prepared for since I applied for a front end position. In the end it was mostly an alright interview process but the last interview really spoiled it for me. It felt like I got baited and switched. If you wanted a full stack developer. Then make a listing for one instead baiting people applying for a front end position.

      var x=5; var y=x; y=10; console.log(x);
