I first received a phone interview, followed by a message from HR saying they wanted to bring me in for a full-day interview session. I had a hard time trying to schedule with HR, I never got anyone to pick up their phone, nor did I receive any return calls. Finally got an email to schedule the interview.
I spent a full day at their facility for 6 separate interviews (all one-on-one with different employees) , from 9 am to 4 pm. This included a lunch out with the team and a tour of the plant. Each interview in itself was not difficult, it was fairly informal with the majority of the questions being based on my resume, some regarding specific job duties for the posting, and a couple questions that were geared towards finding out what kind of person I am. Overall I had a good experience with the interviews.
However, I was told I would hear back from the team on a hiring decision within one week. I sent individualized thank you letters via email to all of the people I met with, no response from any (I wasn't expecting one). It has been 3 months since the interview, they never got back to me. I left two voicemails with the HR representative, and two with an interviewee that was the direct supervisor for this position over the course of two weeks following when I was told I would hear from them. I never received a call or email as to give any hiring decision or even thanking me for my time.
I had a good experience interviewing, their facilities were impressive, and all the employees I met seemed like intelligent and hard-working engineers. I was however disappointed in the companies unprofessional-ism in not answering or returning any phone calls, and not giving any hiring decision like I was told I would receive. Considering I spent many hours researching and studying for a full-day interview with them and was very excited about the opportunity to be a part of their team, it was very unfortunate to not be shown the decency of at least a thanks but no thanks letter. Ghosted.
