      Corporate Practice Interview

      21 Mar 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Seattle, WA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Weber Shandwick (Seattle, WA) in Jun 2017

      Interview

I incorrectly assumed that I was pretty familiar with the WS interview process, seeing as I completed it at a different office a month prior. I was contacted by an HR coordinator who set up a series of phone interviews, which ended with an unexpected writing assessment. Nobody communicated this to me, and because I wasn’t fully prepared, (didn’t have access to a computer) I had to submit a less than satisfactory writing sample. I understand that the process is meant to stress test the applicant, but I feel like my past achievements and future potential weren’t accurately measured or evaluated. Especially for consideration at the internship level. I spent a majority of the interview building on the basic questions I was asked. It was obvious that the people interviewing me didn’t have much experience conducting interviews. Bottom line— I wish I had been more prepared for curveballs. Hopefully my bad experience helps somebody else.
