I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Whitehouse Post (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2018
Interview
Walked in for what I thought was an AE interview & it was actually for an assistant producer position. I was upfront about wanting to edit from the start so it was super awkward. Seems like they only want receptionists on the producer trajectory.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Whitehouse Post (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2019
Interview
Applied through my college on Handshake (recent grad), no cover letter required. They reached out to me within a few days to schedule an in-person interview.
Interview took 10-15 minutes. Very cool looking office and a chill, casual vibe (everyone was wearing jeans). Was told at the end of the interview that the position is 50+ hrs/week and is "freelance" for the first month. I don't really know what that means, and I was never told how much the job pays.
Doesn't sound like a great offer for someone who just wants to be a receptionist, but could be a great opportunity for someone who is trying to work in film and wants to advance in the company (which is what they're looking for). I did not get the job - probably because I don't know anything about film and just wanted a receptionist job.
